Oldest Photographs
These pictures are scans of original photographs taken in 1897 or 98.  They were sent to us by Clive Bradbury of Cambridge who discovered them while sorting out old photos taken by his grandfather, who was interested in history, archeology and photography in the 1890s.  He had no known connection with Appleby Magna, but travelled around the country taking pictures of old buildings.  On the back of these two he had written 'Appleby Magna Moat House' and Clive tracked us down by a web search.  We are very grateful for his detective work.
