Moat House Wildlife

Our aim is to create a welcoming home for a wide variety of wildlife.  We will not use any avoidable chemicals or artificial fertilizers as we believe these are detrimental to natural development of a site.  Insects are encouraged both for their own sake, and as food for creatures higher up the chain.  We provide a home for many species, including bats, bees, wild fowl and snakes.

The species list below includes all species positively identified since we moved here in May 2004.
